Probing the Mueller Probe

Probing the Mueller Probe

( – The Judiciary Committee of the United States Senate has begun hearings into what’s now known as ObamaGate and — the shenanigans, shall we say? — of his administration’s FBI and DOJ. The first witness called was former-Deputy Attorney General (DAG) Rod Rosenstein, who testified that if he knew then what he knows now, he would not have signed warrants for the surveillance of Donald Trump’s adviser Carter Page.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) asked him if, in retrospect, there was a distinct lack of reasons to hire Robert Mueller to investigate possible collusion between the Russians and the Trump team. Rosenstein said he’d “agree with that statement.”

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) took to Twitter with a very blunt post:

It should come as no surprise that the Progressive Liberals are decrying this as nothing more than an attempt to deflect attention away from the coronavirus and civil unrest plaguing the nation. It seems perhaps they don’t understand that unlike themselves, their Conservative counterparts can, as one senator put it, “walk and chew gum at the same time.” Or, maybe they just don’t want scrutiny turned on their attempted coup and would rather their media shills loudly propound the fallacy that the president has failed with these two crises.
