(NewsBreakDaily.org) – The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) was created in the CARES Act as a means of helping small businesses survive the COVID-19 pandemic. The $2.2 trillion relief package contained language limiting which companies wouldn’t qualify. Included among these stipulations, is a limit of employees a parent organization and all its affiliates combined can have. However, at least 37 Planned Parenthood partners willfully disregarded that limitation.
Planned Parenthood affiliates controlled by a parent organization sitting on half a billion in net assets does not qualify for #PPP. And if they knowingly broke the law they must be held accountable https://t.co/hYMgdvYeqJ https://t.co/C7M0e3uaM8

These entities self-certified they did not exceed the 500 employee threshold established in the legislation. For all intents and purposes, defrauding the federal government out of $80 million, and not incidentally, taking it away from legitimate small businesses in need.
As of yet, the Progressive Liberals in Congress and their media shills have been silent on the matter. Perhaps they know there’s no real defense, since it was well-known from the start, as evidenced by the FAQ page of Rep. John Carter (R-TX). More likely, they’re trying to find a response that’ll somehow turn it back onto the Republicans.
For now, conservative lawmakers are demanding the organization return those funds immediately. It’s probably in their own self-interest to comply because at least one congressman is calling for prosecutions if it wasn’t a “mistake.”
