(NewsBreakDaily.org) – If the 2020 election has shown us anything, it’s that there’s a deep divide in the Democratic party.
In a recent interview, former Speaker of the House John Boehner said that the divide continues to grow between progressives that support Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, and the moderates who support candidates like Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Former Vice President Joe Biden.

The former House Speaker explained that this division within the party will keep Democrats from winning the upcoming election.
“At one point, they’re going to have to have a nominee and whoever that nominee is is going to have a hard time bringing the party back together,” said Boehner.
Boehner went on to point out that it hurt them in the 2016 election already when Bernie supporters refused to vote for Hillary.
Will Democrats be able to heal the rift within their party? Only time will tell, but all of the strife is definitely good news for the president. Although his support is already shored up, the angrier Dems are at each other, the less energy they spend on him.
